The SpeedSwitch can be used to switch a consumer on or off at a pre-determined speed or rev count. This, coupled with its integrated make-and-break contact, means that the SpeedSwitch can be used for a wide range of applications.
The SpeedSwitch is a universal automotive interface that is suitable for use in the 12V and 24V segments. It was originally developed for use with navigation systems, in order to suppress speed pulses that are generated in some cars, even when the vehicle is actually standing still. Later on, it underwent further development and became a multi-purpose interface.
