A parking system in the rear bumper is easily activated by switching the car in its reverse gear. But how does this happen with a parking system in the front bumper? Technically there are 3 ways:
If a speed-dependant option is being desired and the parking system is not prepared for that, then there are two possibilities in the product range of Beijer to realise this: with a SpeedSwitch or with a BCI-6.
The SpeedSwitch is an analogous solution. Based on the speed signal that is present in the car, the power supply, the mass or if required the speaker of the system, can be switched. The moment (the speed) that is being switched is free to be programmed by the installer. When using a BCI-6, that is being connected to the CAN-bus, a speed signal is not necessary. Namely, the BCI-6 retrieves that value from the CAN-bus itself. The BCI-6 is easy to install, universal and will switch around 20 km/h in every car model.
Both options will bring satisfied customers. Whether it will be a SpeedSwitch or a BCI-6 depends on the car model, the installation time and the price.
